Kaveh Azar

Advisor

Kaveh is a Chartered Professional Engineer (fire, mechanical and construction engineering) in both New Zealand and Australia with more than 13 years’ of experience in the field and has been involved with both public and private sector projects across New Zealand, the Middle East, and North America. These projects cover large-scale energy and industrial plants, oil and gas refineries, community, mixed-use and commercial buildings, and a variety of smaller retail, educational and residential construction.

Kaveh’s expertise includes facilitating fire engineering designs in accordance with the Acceptable Solutions, Verification Methods and Alternative Solutions in ANZ as well as North America. He has been involved in concept design, detailed design, commissioning, construction monitoring and contract documentation on a wide range of high-profile or award-winning projects.

Kaveh is a specialist in value engineering and is focused on presenting practical and reasonable solutions to all stakeholders that maintain the design features and reduce costs and construction time.

Kaveh has a clear focus on client satisfaction and serving specific client needs by tailoring a fire engineering strategy to the aims and constraints of the project. He has experience in adding real value to a project by facilitating departures from prescriptive codes allowing architectural freedom and cost savings in design.

James is a construction detail-orientated senior fire engineer with 10+ years’ experience, proficient in fire and evacuation modelling with a professional interest in structural fire engineering and evacuation behaviour. Being experienced in the fire safety design for buildings of all types and of all construction materials (including CLT), James has a proven track record of delivering creative and practical fire safety solutions for complex, award-winning projects across a range of sectors.

With over a decade of diverse fire engineering experience across Australia, New Zealand, and the Middle East, Alma is expert in delivering innovative and practical fire safety solutions. Her expertise spans fire strategy consulting, fire modelling, passive fire protection, and construction monitoring. Her fire engineering experience covers a broad range of services that ensures a bespoke, innovative, ensuring regulatory compliance, cost effective and practical approach; in fire modelling and analysis and specific fire engineering design. Alma’s technical acumen is complemented by her strong project management capabilities, including stakeholder coordination, resource planning, and quality assurance.

Alma holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and is a Chartered Member of Engineers Australia and also Engineering New Zealand in Fire Safety Specialising in performance-based fire engineering assessments. Alma is also a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) in fire engineering. She is passionate about tailoring fire engineering strategies to meet client needs while balancing safety, innovation, and budget considerations. Mohammad Baloochi

Mohammad is a CPEng, Qualified BIM manager experienced in working across predominately HVAC, Hydraulic and Mechanical engineer within a broad range of commercial, industrial, education, government and infrastructure projects including but not limited to rail, tunnel, bridge, University and hospital with over 15 years of experience in project management, contract management, design, detailing, cost and material estimating, scheduling, BIM authoring and coordination in both construction and design, on commercial and infrastructure projects across Australia and internationally with advanced knowledge of building Codes, Tunnel Ventilation and stair pressurising fans, Pumps and Construction Standards. Involved in mega construction projects and acquired the essential skills to collaborate and coordinate with other services.

Mohammad is proficient in evaluating the technical and economic feasibility/business plan development of projects in engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC & EPCM) packages from conceptual design phase to detail design and drafting (engineering and 3D/2D modelling), execution and commissioning.
